At Guyetts Funerals in Warrnambool, we provide everything you need to help celebrate the lives of those who have passed, in a comforting and welcoming environment.
Funeral Chapel
Warrnambool’s first stand-alone, purpose-built chapel, which comfortably seats 180 people, was officially opened in 2014 at Guyetts Funerals. The chapel has a large gathering hall, providing a comfortable option for mingling before and after a funeral service. The entrance hall is adjacent to the chapel and is separated by glass which allows easy access and viewing.
The chapel’s stained glass windows were relocated from the former funeral parlour in Timor Street, providing an important link to our heritage.
Other links to our heritage and our region include the pulpit built by our great-uncle and originally used in the Timor Street parlour, and pews from the St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Nirranda, which have been individually restored.
Local resident Heather Jensen helped with the décor and enabled us to create a space of comfort. Heather suggested that we use historic photos of Warrnambool. This idea has proven to be successful, creating an interesting talking point as people discuss where the photos were taken.
The chapel has reverse-cycle air-conditioning and state-of-the-art IT facilities to allow an audio visual celebration. This can include photographs and video footage and you can make special music requests to reflect your loved one’s life.
Parking is available on site.
