began with the City of Melbourne over sixty years ago and we have enjoyed Bob’s wonderful friendship ever since. Our family have happy memories of yearly treks with a Melbourne group of friends to stay for weekends with Bob, Heather and family at Hawkesdale and Port Fairy.

He and Heather were one of the first people we met when we came to Koroit in 1970, and then later at Penshurst. They were so friendly and supportive to us in many ways and always made us welcome. A couple of memories- Bob painting his boat ‘guide post white’ and marking on the mousetraps each time he caught one!
