Passed away peacefully at South West Healthcare Warrnambool on October 12th, 2024.

Aged 83 years

Much loved member of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan.

Loved daughter of Francis and Patricia Stone (both deceased).

Loved sister of Bernice (dec.), Terry and Sue, sister-in-law of Shirley.

Maureen was a teacher, artist and bellringer. She brought quiet joy and delight to everything she did and saw the world through the eyes of an artist – with all its beauty and colour.

The Funeral Mass for Sr Maureen Stone sgs will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Princes Highway, Port Fairy on TUESDAY (October 22) commencing at 2.00pm.

The cortège will leave the Church at the conclusion of Funeral Mass for the Tower Hill Cemetery.

Refreshments will be prior to the Funeral Mass and burial from 12 noon at St Patrick’s Primary School, 9-11 William St, Port Fairy.

    We shared so many things.
    Coffees, meals, a red wine. Weaving was a joy we shared with art and music. Our 18 years of friendship was a gift that enriched our lives.

  6. Maureen was a true friend and dedicated member of the bell ringing group since it began in 2017 in Port Fairy. Her musicality and willingness to help in any situation was admirable and always appreciated. My life has been all the richer for having shared such a constant, sincere and loving friendship with Maureen. Both Ruby and I will miss her deeply.
