When Doug passed away, one of the first things you said to me was “We’ll still go to the footy club, won’t we Geoffrey?” Little did I know that those few words would start a friendship like no other. Watching you play footy, netball, tenpin bowls and your drums. You put your heart and enthusiasm into them all. (Ok maybe not the footy, but you had a go!) You were a favourite with our kids and grandkids and just such an easy fit into our family. There was honestly never a dull moment when you were around. All the little things ended up being the big things, you simply lit up our lives. Miss you Mark,

I worked with Mark for alot of years. I coached him in basketball, netball and aerobics. If there was something on he wanted to be involved. Except fire drills, “stupid idea that one Mary Dave”. Truely a lovely fella. The only person to get away with calling me

Mark was an absolutely lovely person to play netball with and amazing house mate but I know that I am going to miss you heaps all the best from Maddie

October 16, 2024Many memories of Mark when we went to Doug’s house for BBQ tea or pizza night and great entertainment with Mark playing the drums and listening to his music and to finish off the night we had to have a spa. We will keep barracking for the Cats Mark and keep that Geelong jumper close by to you.

October 11, 2024Dear Mark, You weathered the storms of life with courage and fortitude. You grew from a quiet childhood playmate for my daughters Natalie, Letitia, and Bianchi, into a teenager who visibly gained confidence, and in later years, related amusing accounts of the ‘trials’ of travel and work. You became skilled at playing your drums, playing pool, and Playstation car racing games. You went on to develop into a man that both your parents would have been extremely proud of, conversing well, and always politely asking after each member of my family, and always asking if I had seen your Aunty Lois.
