  3. It was such a pleasure to have met this lovely man as a younger computer geek at Fletchers trying to debug old mainframe computer programs. He took me under his wing with patience, kindness and happiness; such a cheeky and bright person to be with. We loved talking about footy, music and the ocean. We both spent some time together out of work but never enough. Both Adele and I are remembering you all in our thoughts and prayers; Denise, Tom, Joe, Katie, your families and cherished friends. Some people remember past friends and family by looking at the many stars in the sky. You’ll be there with all in every wave that comes to shore. Paddle on Brad.

  4. Brad will miss the chats we had at the Flume. I had a great time surfing at Heaven on the planet, after taking up your advice on what would be a good surf trip. My wife Maureen sort your advice many times when she was writing new Access database programs over the years. I know she appreciated your help greatly.
Our heartfelt condolences to all your family. Sorry we can’t be at the funeral to celebrate your exceptional life.

  14. Dear Schmaddles, It was just yesterday that we went to the Torquay Pub with your beloved daughter seeing the Slingers live. I remember you bought the record and I remember standing with you in the crowd with that cheeky smile of yours. I will never not think of you now when hearing the song “One more day” – it has now a meaning and will be attached to my beautiful memory of you. Seeing the love Kate has for you – I always wished I had a father daughter relationship like this. You are her world and there is so much of you in her, which she will carry on. From waves to music to your unique sense of humour. I am so thankful you raised a daughter, that because of her love and values has become my best friend and family. I am so heartbroken for your family and everyone that knew you. I know you will keep shining and guiding everyone from above, but it didn’t have to be that early.

  15. Brad, you are a friend forever. You discovered Heaven on the Planet in the early days and you had your two sons with you. Right from the start we appreciated you as a guest who only saw the good in everything and everyone. The staff are devastated and so are we. Surfing till the end and with a living wife and family an indication of the calibre of man you aways were. The world isn’t going to be the same without you, you made it to Heaven on the Planet and you will make it to the other one too. Sorry we won’t see you again. Our deepest condolences to Denise, Tom, Joe, Katie and the rest of your family
