Tributes

  1. In Loving Memory of Paul Williams: A Life Well-Lived and a Legacy of wisdom
Only today, we learn our dear friend, Paul Williams, has peacefully departed from us at his Melbourne home. Over the past five years, Paul has been an unforgettable presence in our lives—a source of endless company, an accomplice in our get-rich-quick schemes, and a beacon of light in our everyday struggles.

Paul had a knack for finding humor in the most mundane situations. Whether we were stuck at the supermarket or navigating the perils of adulting, he always managed to crack some sort of joke that most of the times made us laugh.

Not only was Paul a master of mirth, but he was also a partner in our ambitious endeavours. We brainstormed countless ideas on how to strike it rich, from inventing a self-peeling banana to starting a llama-themed café (which we affectionately called “Llamacchino”). Though we didn’t quite make it to Forbes’ list of billionaires, the joy of dreaming and scheming together was worth every failed attempt. Paul’s unwavering optimism and belief in our potential pushed us to reach for the stars, even if we occasionally ended up with a face full of stardust.

As we bid farewell to our dear friend, let us remember the jokester, the dreamer, and the confidant that Paul was. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever reside in our hearts, ready to summon a chuckle during our darkest moments. Paul, you may have left us, but your voice of wisdom lingers on, echoing through the halls of our memories.

So, as we celebrate Paul’s life, let’s honor him with a joke—one that he’d surely appreciate. Why don’t scientists trust atoms?
    Because they make up everything!

Rest in peace, dear Paul, knowing that you’ve left a mark on our lives.

With all our love, Chazz & Mike.

  2. My Best Friend for 30 years, you had me at our first audition for an unknown Drama School in NSW called ACE. You made me laugh like no-one else. Your humour, your stories, your politics and your passions. I will never stop missing you. We’ll meet again…Love you, Grant

  3. Sincere sympathy to Paul’s family at this sad time. I have fond memories of our adventures with the Port Fairy Theatre Group, both on stage and off stage. The many times we all worked through the night building and painting sets, learning lines and singing songs to then sneak over and knock on the back door of the Bakery when the sun was rising to see if we could buy some fresh pies for breakfast. Rest peacefully Prince Charming from your onstage Cinderella.
